Is there an app for that?

Can ipads be part of the writing process? How could students use ipads to prewrite?

  • Dictating stories instead of having to physically write
  • Taking photographs
  • Story creating (Pet Pals app)
  • Drawing pictures
  • Checking spelling

About erica banks krug

I live in Wisconsin. I love cooking, eating kale, taking photographs, road trips and the Packers. I used to ride a ski lift to work. Now I work as a substitute teacher. But I dream of being able to call myself a "writer." You have to start somewhere....

There are some creative things you can do with iPads. There are lots and lots of resources out there for ideas for kids of all ages. Tech and Learning Magazine, Twitter (search for ed tech), Apple has teacher trainings, Google “iPads in schools” and stay in touch with Miriam and share what you find!
